| What is SAW |
 |
| The way that a SAW (surface acoustic wave) is transmitted over the surface of an elastic body is identical to the way in which a wave travels across the surface of a body of water. Its energy is concentrated near the surface. This phenomenon is used to transmit signals between inter-digital transducer (IDT) electrodes. |

 |
| 1. |
SAW filters use a filter function in which IDT electrodes are used to generate and detect specific surface acoustic waves, achieving high selectivity (high shape factor), low loss and compact size. |
| 2. |
SAW oscillators are compact oscillators incorporating a SAW resonator using advanced photo-lithography technology and a one-chip IC, featuring excellent jitter characteristics and capable of generating high-frequency base waves. |
